We are seeking a motivated, organized, and student-focused professional to join our team as an Assistant Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, communication, organization, and supporting student success in a fast-paced academic environment.
Academic tutoring experience is highly preferred, and candidates interested in providing instructional support may have opportunities to tutor students based on qualifications and availability.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Administrator supports the daily operations of the academic center while serving as a key point of communication for students, families, and staff. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to build positive relationships with families and students.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, dependable, and comfortable multitasking while maintaining a warm and professional presence.
Key Responsibilities.
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Assist with daily operations of the academic support center.
- Support student onboarding, scheduling, and program coordination.
- Respond to parent and student inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress documentation.
- Coordinate communication between families, teachers, and leadership.
- Assist with student progress tracking and reporting.
- Help improve workflows and support overall student experience.
- Monitor scheduling updates, attendance, and follow-up communication.
- Support organization of testing, academic planning, and program logistics.
Relationship Building & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with students and families through proactive communication and personalized support.
- Contribute to a welcoming, professional, and student-centered environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain consistency and high-quality service.
- Support parent communication regarding schedules, student progress, and program expectations.
Optional Academic Support Responsibilities: (Candidates with teaching or tutoring experience may have opportunities to support students academically).
- Provide individualized tutoring or academic support in assigned subject areas.
- Assist with SAT, ACT, or academic preparation when needed.
- Support students with organization, study skills, and academic confidence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Teaching certification preferred but not required.
- Prior administrative, education, tutoring, academic coaching, or customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Experience communicating with parents, students, or families preferred.
- Experience with scheduling, organization, or student coordination preferred.
- SAT, ACT, or academic tutoring experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students and families.
- Self-motivated, dependable, professional, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
